Huabao's “Flavor Blending Technical Talent Training” Was Successfully Completed in Guangzhou

Focusing on the overall goal of high-quality development in the tobacco industry, Huabao Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd. has always abided by the principle of being driven by technological innovation and technical services, adhering to the tenet of “scientific and technological innovation, quantity guaranteed by quality, serving industry and market”, and has continuously improved and upgraded the training system of technology research and development personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the technology research and development system.

From June 24^th to July 2^nd, Huabao Flavours & Fragrances organized the training of “Flavor Blending Technology Talents” in Owada Flavours Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. A total of 55 representatives in positions related to tobacco flavor technologies from Huabao Flavours & Fragrances participated in the training. The training invited three experts from the Company including Alan Davies, Zhao Zhenyi and Huang Yan as the instructors. The training contents included four aspects: 1. Master the mechanism of sensory evaluation method of Chinese cigarette style, and apply the evaluation method to verify the application of representative cigarettes on the market; 2. Be familiar with the application technology of traditional cigarette flavors & fragrances and raw materials and demonstrate the application of adding flavors & fragrances and raw materials  to cigarettes; 3. Understand the olfactory perception mechanism and its evaluation method, and explain, sniff, and remember the representative aroma raw materials in 24 ISO standards; 4. Understand and master the quality control and management content of tobacco flavors & fragrances and raw materials, and enhance the awareness, connection, and role of various departments in quality control and management. Finally, the training effect was evaluated and tested by means of examinations.

Throughout the training process, the three expert teachers combined theoretical knowledge with the practical operation,paid equal attention to mutual teaching and interactive communication with their rich experience and high application skills. The lectures were rigorous and lively and the students were focused and active, so the classroom atmosphere was warm and harmonious.

Through the systematic and comprehensive training, the knowledge structure of technicians from Huabao Flavours & Fragrances has been effectively improved and the knowledge of tobacco flavors & fragrances and raw materials and the sensory evaluation methods commonly used in the tobacco industry have been further strengthened. It made the flavor blending technicians become more familiar with the function and efficacy of the tobacco flavor & fragrance products. In the future work, we will take core technology as the advantage and innovative products as the focus to enhance the core competitiveness of the products for Huabao Flavours & Fragrances and lay a solid foundation for sustainable scientific and technological innovation.
