“Jiading Technical Expert ZHAO Zhenyi Innovation Studio” of Huabao Was Founded

On the morning of October 28, 2020, the 2020 “Jiading Craftsmen” High-skilled Talent Forum and the Awarding Ceremony of Innovation Studio of Jiading District, Shanghai was held at the Labor Culture Palace of Jiading District. The certificate of honor and plaque of “Jiading Technical Expert ZHAO Zhenyi Innovation Studio” was awarded to Huabao Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd. (“Huabao”) at this Ceremony.

In this April, through a series of approval and selection, Mr. ZHAO Zhenyi, an expert flavorist from Huabao was awarded the honorable title of “Jiading Technical Expert” of Jiading District. In this April, the “Jiading Technical Expert ZHAO Zhenyi Innovation Studio” applied by Huabao was approved, and the certificate of honor and plaque of the Studio was awarded to Huabao by the People's Government of Jiading District, Shanghai.

Innovation is the driving force of an enterprise while technology is the engine for an enterprise’s development. Since its inception, Huabao has been paying high attention to technology research and development. In recent three years, the average proportion of Huabao’s R&D investment in its total annual operating income was more than 7.63%, and the proportion of its R&D personnel was over 19%. In order to fulfill its mission of “Flavor Your Life”, and to have a stronger presence in China and provide services for its global customers, Huabao has introduced several well-known expert flavorists at home and abroad, has set up its overseas flavor R&D center in Germany, and has established provincial- and municipal-level enterprise technology centers, engineering technology centers, enterprise R&D institutes in Shanghai, Yunnan Province, Guangdong Province and Fujian Province. Meanwhile, Huabao owns the National Enterprise Technology Center and Post-Doctoral Research Center. As at June 30, 2020, Huabao held 154 patents, including 113 patents for inventions and 41 patents for utility models.
