Dr. WANG Hongqiang’s Team Was Awarded the Title of “2024 Shanghai Model Worker Innovation Studio”

The team led by Dr. WANG Hongqiang, Vice-president of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center, was awarded the prestigious title of “2024 Shanghai Model Worker Innovation Studio” at the celebration event marking the 100^th anniversary of the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions and the commendation conference for model workers and advanced individuals, held in Jiading District. This honor, listed in the event’s commemorative booklet, marks another significant recognition for Huabao in technological innovation and talent cultivation.

Recently, Ms. PENG Daiyun, Chairman of the Trade Union of Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone, and her delegation visited Huabao’s Shanghai Industrial Park to present the certificate and plaque for the “Shanghai Model Worker Innovation Studio” to Dr. WANG Hongqiang’s team. They held an in-depth discussion with the team, accompanied by CHEN Jing, Chairman of Huabao Trade Union Federation.

At the awarding ceremony, Ms. PENG congratulated Dr. WANG’s team on behalf of the Management Committee of Jiading Industrial Zone and Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions. She emphasized that this Studio is the only one in Jiading Industrial Zone and one of only two in Jiading District to receive this honor, highlighting its exceptional value. Ms. PENG praised Dr. WANG Hongqiang for his exemplary role as a “Shanghai Model Worker” and recognized the team’s achievement in advancing from the “Jiading District WANG Hongqiang Model Worker Innovation Studio” in 2023 to this higher accolade. She expressed three expectations for the Studio: first, to continue playing a leading role in mentoring and training technical talents; second, to vigorously promote the spirit of model workers and craftsmanship to inspire innovation and mission among researchers; third, to focus on technological breakthroughs and achievement transformation, promote the upgrading of industries, and contribute to the development of new quality productive forces and the construction of innovative ecosystem in the region.

Dr. WANG welcomed Ms. PENG’s delegation and expressed his sincere gratitude for the long-standing support and emphasis on technological innovation from the Management Committee of Jiading Industrial Zone and Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions. Dr. WANG detailed the Studio’s current research priorities, including the preparation of natural flavor matrices through the Maillard reaction, encapsulation and application of flavor components and nutrients, the development and application of natural flavor plant extracts, and the development and application of enzyme-hydrolyzed dairy concentrates. Dr. WANG emphasized that the entire research team is committed to technological breakthroughs and innovative practices aligned with Huabao’s strategic mission of “Green, Nutritious and Healthy”. As Huabao’s internationalization process deepens, the team aims to bring healthy and delicious products to Chinese consumers and extend “Huabao flavors” and “Chinese flavors” to the world, serving global consumers.

Ms. CHEN Jing stated that Huabao Trade Union Federation will continue to serve as a bridge connecting technological innovation. By improving the award and incentive mechanisms, actively organizing honor applications, and establishing special support funds, Huabao Trade Union Federation aims to create a broad platform for researchers to showcase their talents, foster an environment conducive to in-depth research, and gather the wisdom and momentum of the Trade Union Federation to support the Company’s sustainable and high-quality development.

This honor as a “Shanghai Model Worker Innovation Studio” is another testament to Huabao’s strong technological innovation capabilities and successful talent team building. Previously, several individuals and collectives from Huabao Trade Union Federation have received honors such as Technical Expert in Jiading District, Craftsman of Jiading Industrial Zone, as well as Worker Pioneer and Model Post of Jiading District. In the future, Dr. WANG Hongqiang and his team will fully leverage the pioneering and innovative role of the municipal-level model worker innovation studio, deepen research projects, accelerate achievement transformation, and create greater value, contributing core driving forces to Huabao’s continuous innovation and development and the progress of the industry.
