Huabao Held the Commencement Ceremony for Construction of the Headquarters Office and Production Base

At 12 o’clock noon on November 10, 2021, the Commencement Ceremony for Construction of Huabao Headquarters Office and Production Base was held in the Industrial Cooperation Demonstration Park of Lassa-Jiangning (National) Economic Development Zone, South Road, Block B, Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone. ZHANG Yonggang (Director of the Office of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government in Tibet), TANG Song (Secondary Inspector of Commerce Department of Tibet Autonomous Region and Director of Foreign Investment Department), CHEN Zhihai (Deputy Secretary of Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of Management Committee of Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone) and other leaderships from relevant departments of Tibet Autonomous Region, Lhasa City and Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone attended the Ceremony. Outstanding entrepreneurs from 24 enterprises, including China Life Insurance Tibet Branch, Tibet Qomolangma Insurance Company Limited, Tibet Baosteel Packaging Company Limited, Wahaha Tibet Branch and Meihua Holdings Group, attended the Ceremony. Ms. YUAN Xiaoqin, Director and President of Huabao Group, and Mr. ZHANG Jie, Vice-President and CFO of Huabao Group, attended the Ceremony. The Ceremony was presided over by Mr. YANG Cheng, Assistant President of Huabao Group and General Manager of Lhasa Huabao.

Ms. YUAN Xiaoqin, Mr. CHEN Zhihai and Mr. ZHANG Yonggang made speeches successively.

In her speech, Ms. YUAN first introduced the background of Huabao’s relocation in Lhasa and then briefed the overall development situation of the Company. Ms. YUAN said Tibet is a blessed place for Huabao, and also the starting place for Huabao to start a new undertaking. Since its settlement in Tibet in August 2016, Huabao has paid a total of 566 million yuan in taxes. At the same time, the Company also moved Huabao National Enterprise Technology Center to Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone, becoming the third national enterprise technology center in Tibet after that of Cheezheng Tibetan Medicine and Tibet Rhodiola Pharmaceutical Holdings. Moreover, the Company also actively participates in targeted poverty alleviation and rural revitalization in Tibet, making a modest contribution to poverty alleviation and well-off society in Tibet.

Ms. YUAN said that it is the belief of Huabao people to adhere to our principal industry and industrial development. Under the guidance of the enterprise vision of “Flavor Your Life”, Huabao will adhere to the enterprise mission of “green, healthy, nutritious”, and devote itself to the development of Tibet Autonomous Region with practical actions. The construction project of Huabao headquarters office and production base to be started today is another solid step taken by Huabao in response to the government’s call of “moving from virtual economy to real economy” and jointly building a better future for Tibet. The Project includes functions such as headquarters office, technology center, brand image exhibition hall, production base and supporting logistics center and more. After completion, the project will help improve the enterprise revenue, solve the local employment problem, and increase the total tax revenue.Ms. YUAN said at last that if the past five years were the five years during which Huabao took root and sprouted in Tibet, the next five years will be the five years during which Huabao thrive and prosper in Tibet.

In his speech, Mr. CHEN Zhihai first delivered his congratulations to Ms. YUAN and all Huabao staff, and then paid high tribute to all the leaderships, district and municipal departments and people from all walks of life who have been caring and supporting the development of Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone for a long time. Mr. CHEN also introduced the development of Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone since its establishment 20 years ago, and affirmed the important contributions Huabao has made to the economic and social development of Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone since it settled in the Zone in August 2016.

Mr. CHEN said that the official commencement of construction of Huabao headquarters office and production base is not only an important measure for Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone to optimize and improve the primary industry, vigorously develop green industry and transform and upgrade the tertiary industry, but also an important support for the Zone to introduce real enterprises and make the real economy better and stronger, and moreover a significant manifestation that the Zone thoroughly implements the development requirements proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visit to Tibet, and the enterprises and entrepreneurs in the Zone have full confidence and high hopes for the development of the Zone. It will effectively drive us to take a more solid step towards the goal of “pioneer zone for high-quality development, demonstration zone for green development, sample zone of reform and opening up, leading zone of innovative development, the outstanding zone with the best business environment”.

Finally, Mr. CHEN wished the project of Huabao headquarters office and production base a smooth construction, thus to be put into use and achieve efficiency improvement as soon as possible!

Mr. ZHANG Yonggang said in his speech that he was very pleased to see excellent Shanghai enterprises like Huabao relocate in Tibet and be listed successfully, thus to make positive contributions to Tibet’s economic and social development, and set a good example in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization in Tibet, so as to effectively contribute to Tibet’s long-term development, peace and stability.

Mr. ZHANG said that Tibet was building the brand of “the third pole on earth”. General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Tibet in July this year and proposed to effectively protect the ecology of the third pole on earth. We really hope that excellent enterprises like Huabao can participate in this brand building, and jointly create a new world-famous business card for Tibet - “The Third Pole on Earth”. It is hoped that Huabao could launch more high-quality projects in Tibet and promote more characteristic Tibetan products to Shanghai and the whole country.

In the end, Mr. ZHANG wished that Huabao could take this project as an opportunity, pay attention to the quality of the project, put it into operation and realize good social and economic benefits as soon as possible, thus to establish a good corporate image. He wished the project a smooth construction.

As the leaderships of Tibet Autonomous Region, Lhasa City and Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone and Ms. YUAN Xiaoqin jointly pushed the actuating lever of the commencement ceremony, the Ceremony ended successfully.
