African F&G Zimbabwean Tobacco Volatile Project Was Officially Completed and Put into Production

August 8th was a good day for Huabao Flavours & Fragrances Co. Ltd., especially for F&G BOTSWANA (PTY) LTD. With the first batch of bright and fragrant production test products flowing out of the equipment, marking the “African F&G Zimbabwean Tobacco Volatile Project” was officially completed and put into production.
On August 4th, Ms. HUANG Yan, Director of the Company's technology center, with two professional technicians, LIN Dehong and LU Zhenbao of the Company, arrived at the Francistown Airport in Botswana after traveling for more than 30 hours and transferring 4 flights. The main mission of HUANG Yan’s trip to Botswana was to carry out on-site process and technical guidance for the “Africa F&G Zimbabwean Tobacco Volatile Project” to support new technologies from the laboratory to production, which was enough to prove the importance that the Company attached to this project, which also shown the serious and careful scientific attitude of the Company's scientific research personnel. At present, the test product has been evaluated by experts and technicians, and it was unanimously considered that the product could impart a mature and sweet Zimbabwean tobacco characteristic aroma to the cigarette product, which could significantly enhance the softness and smoothness of the smoke, and the aftertaste was comfortable and clean with a thick and sweet taste sensation.
As we all know, Zimbabwe is one of the best tobacco growing countries in the world. However, the domestic security situation in Zimbabwe is relatively poor. In order to introduce the world’s best tobacco into the domestic market and to control the quality of the products from the source, the company acquired African F&G Botswana in 2009, which is adjacent to Zimbabwe, and to purchase Zimbabwe’s tobacco leaves, extract them and then transport the “liquid extract” back to China for processing and application in cigarettes. Huabao Flavours & Fragrances also dispatched Chinese managers to manage this company for a long time. They are far away from home and abroad and overcome various difficulties to contribute to the corporate development, to the economic and trade exchanges between China and Botswana, and even to the friendly exchanges between China and Africa.

The Company's leaders have shown great foresight and officially launched the "Africa F&G Zimbabwean Tobacco Volatile Project" in August 2018. After more than four months of construction of the project plant, the equipment procurement was carried out simultaneously, and the technical problems related to the equipment were communicated; the equipment transportation lasted for more than two months; then the equipment was installed and debugged. Under the care and guidance of the leaders of the domestic headquarters, with the support of the technical staff and the hard work of the frontline project staff, the project was finally put into production after a whole year of hard work, marking a major step for Huabao in the field of tobacco flavors from research and development to production, and also showing the forward-looking and leading role of Huabao in the field of tobacco flavor. The successful operation of the project also guarantees that Huabao will continue to provide customers with high-level, high-quality products and technical services, and ultimately achieve mutual benefit and win-win.
