XIE Mingyong and His Delegation Visited Jiangxi H&K for Investigation

On the afternoon of February 21, XIE Mingyong, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of State Key Laboratory of Food Science and Technology of Nanchang University, led a delegation and visited Jiangxi H&K Food Technology Development Co., Ltd. (“Jiangxi H&K” or the “Company”) for investigation, accompanied by HUANG Yun, Chairman of Yingtan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Jiangxi, XU Yun, A-level Inspector of Yingtan City, XIAO Lin, Deputy Secretary of Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of Management Committee of Yingtan National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Jiangxi and other relevant leaders of Yingtan City and Yingtan National High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
GU Xue, General Manager of Jiangxi H&K, introduced Huabao to Academician XIE and his delegation in front of the corporate image display board at the hall of Jiangxi H&K. At the following symposium, Dr. WANG Hongqiang, Vice President of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center, warmly welcomed Academician Xie and his delegation on behalf of Ms. YUAN Xiaoqin, Board Director and President of Huabao. Dr. WANG said that Huabao was upholding the enterprise mission of “Green, Nutritious and Healthy” and carrying out transformation and upgrading. As the main persons in charge of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center, we attach great importance to seeking new breakthroughs and development in the field of food innovation technology, and also look forward to cooperating with the State Key Laboratory of Food Science and Technology of Nanchang University led by Academician XIE through the new mode of “industry-university-research-sales integration” in the future.
Academician XIE affirmed Huabao’s future development direction, and said that as a university teacher, he would be very willing to transform what he has learned and studied into productivity, especially economic efficiency. His team would also be particularly willing to work with enterprises to explore and make progress together, and make contributions to China’s food and health industry.
Academician XIE said that the development of Jiangxi H&K was greatly relevant to Yingtan’s robust pro-business environment and the government’s strong support to the enterprises. And enterprises should do well in business development, firmly grasp the future market development direction, clear their own development positioning, and work hard to implement their projects step by step.
Huabao possesses the National Enterprise Technology Center and Post-doctoral Research Program. We always attach great importance to the cooperation with relevant universities in China and have a good foundation and tradition of university-enterprise cooperation. At present, we have developed cooperation with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, South China University of Technology, Jiangnan University, Guangxi University, Shanghai Institute of Technology and other universities. We are recently discussing relevant cooperation projects with Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. About Academician XIE Mingyong
XIE Mingyong is a professor of Nanchang University. He is Doctor of Nutrition of University of Bonn in Germany, Member of International Academy of Food Science and Technology (IAFoST), academic advisor of National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation, academic leader of State Key Discipline of Food Science; Member of the Sixth and Seventh Discipline Assessment Group of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Member of the Sixth and Seventh Agriculture and Forestry Department of Science and Technology Commission of Ministry of Education, Vice President of China Institute of Food Science and Technology. He is now the Director of State Key Laboratory of Food Science and Technology of Nanchang University. His major area of study is food and nutrition science and technology.
In recent years, he has presided over more than 10 national projects, such as key projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and National Key R&D Program of China. He has published more than 190 SCI papers and 3 books as corresponding author, and acquired more than 50 national invention patents. As the first accomplisher (who makes the greatest contribution), he has won 1 second prize of the National Award for Science and Technology Progress, the Food Hydrocolloids TrustMedal, the second prize of the National Award for Teaching Achievements, etc. In 2012, he was awarded the honorary title of “National Outstanding Science and Technology Worker”. From 2018 to 2021, he has been featured on the list of “Highly Cited Researchers” powered by Clarivate Web of Science for four consecutive years.
He was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2021.
