In order to help our researchers to scientifically arrange experiments in the R&D work, have an in-depth application of statistical methods in analyzing the experimental results and obtain valid experimental conclusions, and thereby improve their ability in DOE (design of experiments), Huabao Scientific Innovation Center and Huabao Human Resource and Administration Department organized and carried out the DOE-themed training activity specially for the company’s R&D and technical personnel. 

The training was conducted online and offline simultaneously in Shanghai and Guangzhou venues. WANG Hongqiang, vice president of the Scientific Innovation Center, made a speech at the opening ceremony of the training. WANG explained the importance of DOE for R&D, and hoped all to master the DOE methods and improve R&D efficiency through this training.

For the training courses, we invited experienced lecturers to deliver the training contents in a gradual way and provide the trainees with a systematic and comprehensive explanation. Firstly, the complete work flow for DOE was introduced. Then, the trainees learned relevant DOE methods and had hands-on activities, in which they learned how to use DOE methods in the product manufacturing process to quickly find the process parameters with significant impact on the process output index from many influencing factors and optimize them.

During class, the lecturers fully mobilized the enthusiasm of the trainees and helped them strengthen their memory through theoretical explanation and Q&A interaction. At the same time, the trainees were divided into groups by round table, and each group was assigned a topic to carry out the DOE process and practical operation, thus to have a better master of the DOE knowledge.
