Endeavor to “Move from Virtual Economy to Real Economy” and Take Development Root in Tibet - About the Commissioning Ceremony of Lhasa Huabao Production Base

Although it is still cold in April in Lhasa, yet wickers by the road have sprouted, making people feel the coming of spring.

At 11 o’clock on April 10, 2023, the grand Commissioning Ceremony of Huabao Lhasa Production Base was held at Huabao Headquarters Office and site of the Production Base in the Industrial Cooperation Demonstration Park of Lassa-Jiangning (National) Economic Development Zone, South Road, Block B, Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Mr. SHENG Hongzhuang (Office Director of Science and Technology Department of Tibet Autonomous Region), Ms. YU Zhen (Director of the Productivity Promotion Center of Tibet Autonomous Region), Mr. YANG Shijun (Deputy Secretary of CPC Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone), Mr. YAN Huangong (Director of Economic Development Bureau of Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone), Ms. CHE Ximin (Director of Investment Attraction Bureau of Lhasa Commerce Bureau), Mr. ZHANG Ningru (Head of the Liaison and Coordination Department of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government Office in Tibet) and other leaders were invited to attend the Ceremony. Mr. ZHANG Jie, Vice-president and CFO of Huabao Group, and all the staff of Lhasa Huabao attended the Ceremony. The Ceremony was hosted by ZHOU Zhongxin, General Manager Assistant of Lhasa Huabao.

Mr. ZHANG Jie and Mr. YANG Shijun delivered speeches at the Ceremony successively.

The construction project of Huabao Headquarters Office and Production Base is another solid step taken by Huabao in response to the State’s call of “moving from virtual economy to real economy” and taking development root in Tibet. The construction project officially started in November 2021, and we ushered in the commissioning day of the production base after about 15 months. Over the months, we have experienced unprecedented challenges of the epidemic, and the project schedule has been delayed repeatedly. However, with the continuous follow-up of the project team, the direct concern of leaderships of the Company, especially with the support and help of various departments and leaders of Tibet Autonomous Region, Lhasa City and Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone, we have overcome numerous difficulties. After the epidemic leveled off, we went all out to catch up on the schedule, steadily promoted equipment installation and commissioning, and prepared for the commissioning of the production base. This process fully demonstrated our corporate spirit of “Innovative, Pragmatic, Loyalty and Collaborative”, and the corporate talent concept of “Morality, Consciousness, Competitiveness and Adaptability”. We believe that the successful commissioning of Lasha Headquarters Office and Production Base will further deepen Huabao’s investment in Tibet, strengthen our development confidence, increase employment, and increase the tax revenue.

In his speech, Mr. ZHANG Jie first thanked the leaders of various departments of Tibet Autonomous Region, Lhasa City and Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone for their support and concern for the development of Huabao, and briefly introduced the development of Huabao, especially the efforts Huabao has made for the improvement of local economy, society, and people’s livelihood since its relocation to Lhasa. Moreover, he also introduced Huabao’s active participation in targeted poverty alleviation and rural revitalization in Tibet, and its modest contribution to the poverty alleviation and well-off society in Tibet. In 2022, Huabao was awarded the “Excellent Practice Case of Rural Revitalization of Public Companies” medal, and Huabao’s practice case of rural revitalization has been successfully included in the Excellent Practice Cases of Rural Revitalization of Public Companies compiled by China Association for Public Companies (CAPCO).

Mr. ZHANG Jie stressed, “Huabao will continue to adhere to our principal industry and industrial development. Under the guidance of the corporate vision of ‘Flavor Your Life’, Huabao will endeavor to practice the corporate mission of ‘green, healthy, nutritious’, and devote itself to the development of Tibet Autonomous Region with practical actions.”

In his speech, Mr. YANG Shijun first congratulated the successful commissioning of Huabao Lassa Production Base, pointing that it is another achievement since the Tibet Autonomous Region has promoted the policy of “moving from virtual to real”. He affirmed the contribution made by Huabao to the development of Tibet and appreciated Huabao’s original intention of adhering to industrial development. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, stressed that “we must continue to place emphasis on the development of the real economy” when presiding over the second group study session of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee on January 31 2023. Mr. YANG Shijun quoted that. Mr. YANG Shijun said, “Tibet is making efforts to build the brand of ‘the third pole on earth’ in accordance with the General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions. We hope that outstanding enterprises in the industry like Huabao will actively participate in the process and continue to contribute to the development of Tibet.”

Huabao will seize the opportunity of the Times and forge ahead with determination. 2023 is a decisive year for Huabao’s three-year strategic planning. Although there may be numerous difficulties and challenges, Huabao will make concerted efforts, do solid work, strive to achieve all set goals, and facilitate its steady development, thus to make more contribution to the construction of Tibet.
