Strengthening International Technology Cooperation and Enhancing Huabao’s Global Business Cornerstone - Huabao cooperated with MPOB and Bunge Loders Croklaan in scientific research projects

Recently, Huabao signed a tripartite scientific research project cooperation agreement with Bunge Loders (Xiamen) Oils Technology Co., Ltd. and Palm Oil Technology Research and Technical Service Institute of Malaysian Palm Oil Board (“PORTSIM”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), on the use of palm oil as raw materials for relevant technical research and product development cooperation.

Founded in 2005, PORTSIM is a branch of MPOB in China and aims to develop, expand and advance the Malaysian palm oil market in China, and to provide technical support and advisory services for related enterprises. MPOB is a statutory body of the Malaysian Government, which is mainly responsible for promoting and developing national objectives, policies and priorities for the wellbeing of the Malaysian oil palm industry.

It’s known that the palm oil industry is the backbone of Malaysia’s economy, and Malaysia is the world’s second largest producer of palm oil after Indonesia. The two countries produce more than 80% of the world’s palm oil, while China has become the world’s largest palm oil importer. Palm oil-related products are widely used in food, non-food, feed and other fields. As the most widely used and productive oil crop in the world, oil palm also has a good return on investment in scientific research and technology promotion.

Commissioned by MPOB, Huabao and Bunge Loders jointly carried out technical research on palm oil-related derivative products. This is a solid step for Huabao to carry out international technical project cooperation and to provide technical support and research services, which fully demonstrates Huabao’s solid scientific research strength and outstanding innovation ability.

In order to effectively promote the project implementation and overcome technical problems, Huabao has formed an expert team led by Dr. WANG Hongqiang, Vice-President of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center, who will be responsible for this scientific research project. The project team will actively promote the work according to the requirements of the agreement, and practice the enterprise values of “Client first, value creation and shared achievements” through practical work, carry forward the enterprise spirits of “innovation, pragmatism, loyalty, and collaboration”, and submit a satisfactory international technical cooperation answer sheet representing Huabao’s R&D strength, innovation spirit and corporate image, thus to lay a solid foundation for carrying out more international technical cooperation in the future.
