Facilitating Cultural Integration, Achieving Technology Sharing, and Accelerating Global Business - Backbone staff of F&G BOTSWANA Visited Huabao China Headquarters for Learning and Training

At present, the world is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century, and the trend of economic globalization is overwhelming. In order to give full play to the synergy effect of Huabao International Intelligent Innovation Platform, carry out Huabao’s internationalization strategy and international talent training plan, and promote the development of the Company’s global business, Huabao Scientific Innovation Center organized the technical backbone of F&G BOTSWANA (an overseas subsidiary of Huabao) and Lhasa Huabao to participate in learning and training activities at Huabao Shanghai Industrial Park from August 23 to August 31, 2023. During the 9-day training, Huabao Scientific Innovation Center designed training courses for trainees with an international perspective and customized needs, helping them to broaden their vision, improve their skills, and better integrate into Huabao culture, thus to contribute to the Company’s development of global business.

Making Concerted Efforts to Empower the International Business

Dr. WANG Hongqiang, Vice-president of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center, made a speech at the opening ceremony of this training on August 23, 2023. Dr. WANG said in his speech, “The learning and training activities aim to improve the business ability and level of overseas company management and technical backbone through on-site teaching, interactive Q&A, practical equipment operation and production process visit and learning, thus to further promote cultural exchange and integration, lay a solid foundation for Huabao to better carry out international layout and global business, and provide successful experience for reference. It is hoped that the trainees will cherish the opportunity, study hard, accelerate the integration into Huabao culture, master skills, and make this trip worthwhile.” Ms. CUI Xiuming, Deputy Director Engineer of the Basic Research Center of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center, and Mr. ZHU Huawen, General Manager of F&G BOTSWANA, respectively made a speech on behalf of the training organizers and participants at the opening ceremony.

Providing Targeted Services and Customized Course Design

Through theoretical learning and practical operation, the training promoted practice by learning and practicing learning by operation with customized courses for the trainees from various aspects and fields. Technical personnel in the professional field of the Basic Research Center of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center explained the basic knowledge of natural fragrance materials, extraction and separation technology and fine processing and other professional knowledge, demonstrated the independent innovation technology and process, and explained the operating procedures and safety precautions of laboratory instruments and equipment in detail.At the same time, the Chinese and Botswanan teams also reviewed the main points and existing problems of the entire production process and various links of the production base of F&G BOTSWANA, analyzed the reasons, and summarized the rules and reflected on the problems, thus to ensure that the products developed by ourselves are perfectly presented to customers.

The technical staff of the Tobacco Use Technology Center of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center introduced the professional knowledge of tobacco leaf and cigarette varieties and smoking evaluation to the trainees, and conducted sensory smoking evaluation training for them.

The technical staff of the Analysis and Testing Center of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center introduced the relevant contents of analysis& testing and quality control in combination with actual cases, and emphasized the importance of QA and QC in production.

Combining Learning with Practice and Working together to Facilitate the Development of the Company

After 9 days of systematic and standardized training and learning, the trainees passed the strict assessment and successfully completed the course. At the graduation ceremony, Dr. WANG Hongqiang, Vice-president of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center, and Ms. CHEN Jing, Director of Huabao HR and Administration Department, presented the graduation certificate to the trainees.

Fani, Production Manager of F&G BOTSWANA, expressed his feelings as a representative of the trainees and said that he was impressed by Huabao’s scientific research strength and enterprise charm during the training visit to China. The trip had greatly broadened his vision, increased his knowledge and improved his technical level. He also said that he would bring what he had seen and heard in China back to Africa to share with other colleagues, grow and progress together with them. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the leaders of the Company and colleagues of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center for their full support.

Nigamedo, a technician from Huabao Lhasa, said that she learned a lot of skills and professional knowledge from the training, especially an in-depth understanding of plant extraction technology; and she hoped to use the knowledge to carry out research on endemic plants in Tibet and boost the Company’s scientific R&D.

In the closing speech, Ms. CHEN Jing extended a warm welcome to the colleagues who came from afar, and emphasized that although we come from different countries and have different cultures, we take the common mission of creating “green, nutrition, healthy” products, shoulder the common vision of “Flavor Your Life”, and share a common name - Huabao people. It is hoped that Huabao people will work closely together in the future to boost the development of the Company.

In his closing speech, Dr. WANG hoped that through this training, trainees from F&G BOTSWANA could establish an international vision and enhance the competitiveness of Huabao in the global market through high-quality products. In addition, Dr. WANG hoped that the trainees could achieve the “unity of knowing and doing”, combine theoretical knowledge with production practice, find problems in practice, solve problems together, and facilitate the high-quality development of the Company.

Moreover, in order to meet the production needs, the trainees also visited the production workshops and laboratories of Jiangxi H&K and Yingtan Huabao during the training, to closely understand the various links of Huabao products from raw material management, production, quality control, warehousing, logistics and more, to feel the rigor and efficiency of each process under the requirements of lean production, and to experience the value concept of “customer first” from each detail.

The learning and training activities have provided a platform for F&G BOTSWANA employees to connect with Huabao Headquarters and affiliates, strengthen cultural integration, enhance communication and understanding between Chinese and Botswanan teams, enhance collaboration ability, and create more possibilities for future new product development and production innovation. Trainees from F&G BOTSWANA have not only improved their professional knowledge, but also experienced the local customs of China. This will become a model of cultural and technological exchanges between China and Botswana, and will also consolidate and expand Huabao’s brand influence and awareness in Botswana and even in Africa.
