Cultivating Talents through School-enterprise Cooperation and Fulfilling Responsibilities with Pragmatic Innovation - Huabao Joined the First Education Council of Jiading Industrial Zone, Shanghai to Explore New School-enterprise Cooperation Modes

On September 4, 2023, Jiading Industrial Zone held an event to celebrate the 39^th Teachers’ Day at the Community Party Construction Service Center of Jiading Industrial Zone. Mr. LI Chao, Secretary of CPC Working Committee of Jiading Industrial Zone and Executive Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Jiading Industrial Zone, Ms. GUAN Wenjie, Director of Education Bureau of Jiading District, and relevant leaders of Shanghai Normal University attended the event. Mr. MU Jieqiang, Vice-chairman of the Trade Union Federation of Huabao Shanghai Industrial Park and Senior Manager of Huabao HR and Administration Department, was invited to attend this event.

At the event, the “Top Ten Post Experts”, “Top Ten Class Head Teachers”, “Top Ten Young Teachers” and “Education Leaders in the School District” in Jiading Industrial Zone from 2022 to 2023 were commended. The establishment ceremony of the Education Council of Jiading Industrial Zone was held at the scene. Five industry outstanding enterprises, including Huabao, Shanghai Acoustics Laboratory of Chinese Academy of Sciences (IACAS), Volvo Cars, Jingdong Group, and Jidu Automobile, have become the member units of the First Education Council of Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone. Representatives of the five enterprises made a speech successively. Mr. MU mentioned in his speech that in 1996, Huabao was founded in Jiading Industrial Zone. Since its establishment, Huabao has attached great importance to university-enterprise cooperation, and has established long-term and stable university-enterprise cooperation relations with a number of colleges and universities, providing study, visit, internship, employment places and opportunities. In the future, Huabao is very much looking forward to working with the education committee of the Industrial Zone to explore the school-enterprise cooperation model and popular science education topics for students at different phases of studying, leading the students to explore the wonderful origin of flavors, opening the unknown world of flavors, and jointly creating a new life full of “green, nutritious and healthy” flavors. Mr. FAN Weidong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Jiading Industrial Zone, delivered the plaques to the five member units.

Supporting the development of education has always been an important measure for Huabao to fulfill its corporate social responsibility. Huabao has been carrying out school-enterprise cooperation through various ways such as donating money or goods, and providing cognitive internships and visits, specifically, the Company has donated schoolbags and uniforms for poverty-stricken areas in Shaanxi, Gansu and Guizhou for several consecutive years, and donated school bags, books and stationery to all primary school students in Qushui County of Tibet, helping students improve their learning conditions. In addition, the Company has also carried out school-enterprise cooperation projects with many domestic universities, specifically, the Company has provided cognition practice places and courses training for freshmen majoring in Perfume and Aroma Technology and Engineering of Shanghai Institute of Technology (SIT) for many years, helping students understand the future employment and development of their major, and serve as a career guide for them. Besides, the Company keeps exploring popular science education models suitable for students at different phases of studying. Before the new semester, the Company held the first off-campus class for student representatives of Yecheng Primary School in Jiading District, enabling the students to plant the seeds of exploring beautiful life in their hearts from different perspectives, and motivating them to study hard to apply their knowledge and contribute to the society in the future.

Education is a primary task that is crucial for generations to come. Teaching and educating are not only the work of schools and teachers, but also the cause that everyone must participate in. As a corporate citizen and a highly responsible listed company, Huabao feeds back to the society and fulfills its due social responsibilities while developing continuously, which is also an important aspect for the Company to practice and implement the ESG work.
