Partner for A New Journey from Shanghai to Xizang | Huabao Was Awarded the Executive Vice-President Unit of Xizang Autonomous Region Shanghai Chamber of Commerce

If there is a firm pursuit, people will overcome difficulties and make unremitting efforts for it. Across the long distance of 5,476 kilometers between Shanghai and Xizang, the two sides established profound friendship.
Founded in Shanghai and settled in Xizang, Huabao has always cared about the coordinated development of the two places. Since March this year, Huabao, as one of the initiators, has joined hands with four other Xizang-based enterprises (including Tibet Summit, Keda Information, Oxygen Keeper, and Zoe Solar), to build the Xizang Autonomous Region Shanghai Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as “the Chamber”). After eight months of joint efforts by Huabao and other parties, the Chamber was officially established on November 25, 2023. Huabao was awarded the Executive Vice-president Unit of the Chamber.

1.Nothing can be done well unless it is well prepared. The establishment of Xizang Autonomous Region Shanghai Chamber of Commerce is of great significance

On November 25, 2023, the inaugural meeting of the Chamber was held in Lhasa. WANG Niandong (Secretary of the Leading Party Group Federation of the Industry and Commerce of Xizang), ZHENG Shengli (Deputy Director of the Civil Affairs Department of Xizang), PENG Yihao (Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice-mayor of Rikaze) and other leaderships jointly inaugurated for the Chamber and awarded the nameplate of the Chamber to its leadership team.
Mr. YANG Cheng, Assistant President of Huabao Group was invited to attend the inauguration and awarded the nameplate as Executive Vice-president of the Chamber. After the inauguration, Mr. YANG, on behalf of the Chamber, participated in the Opening Ceremony of the Western Alliance of Shanghai Chambers of Commerce together with nine other Shanghai chambers of commerce in provinces, regions, and cities of western China.
The establishment of the Chamber is timely and of great significance. In the future, the Chamber will rely on the advantages of platform resources to facilitate the industrial upgrading in Xizang and build a bridge of communication between the government and enterprises. At the same time, the Chamber will continue to expand exchanges and cooperation with brother chambers and enterprises in Shanghai, closely cooperate with various regions and departments of Xizang, and make contribution to serving Xizang in thoroughly implementing the new development concepts, creating a first-class business environment, and striving to promote high-quality development of the plateau economy.

2.Founded in Shanghai and settled in Xizang, Huabao has made great achievements over the past seven years
Xizang is known as the “Roof of the world” and “the Third Pole on Earth”. The CPC Central Committee of China attaches great importance to the work in Xizang and cares deeply for the people of all ethnic groups in Xizang. Under the strong leadership of the CPC and the State, great achievements have been made in various undertakings in Xizang. Since Huabao settled in Tibet in 2016, it has been following the guidance of the CPC and the State, actively responding to the call of national policies, and consciously connecting its own development with the development of Xizang.
On the journey of facilitating the high-quality economic and social development in Xizang, Huabao takes the lead and builds momentum for the development. Over the past seven years, Huabao has contributed nearly RMB 700 million yuan to local taxes. In promoting borderland construction, ethnic integration, and improvement of people’s livelihood, it actively performs its social responsibilities and demonstrates its mission. It has made donations in Xizang for many times, and taken various measures to implement the national strategy for rural revitalization and development. In addition, Huabao’s practice case of rural revitalization has been successfully included in the “Excellent Practice Cases of Rural Revitalization of Public Companies” compiled by China Association for Public Companies (CAPCO).

3.Concentrate Efforts for New Achievements, Huabao and the Chamber will join hands to create the glorious future
Even mountains and seas cannot distance people with common aspirations. In the future, Huabao will rely on its globalization strategy and Huabao International Intelligent Innovation Platform to enhance its development level and sci-tech innovation strength, further optimize the integration and application of its industry and characteristic resources in Xizang, strengthen the construction of its projects in Xizang, help Xizang to build the brand of “the Third Pole on Earth”, and make contribution to achieving new breakthroughs in plateau economy.
Huabao will also work with other member units of the Chamber to actively serve and integrate into the new pattern of high-quality development, build a platform for economic and trade exchanges between Shanghai and Xizang, and facilitate the cooperation and development of enterprises between the two places. We will bear social responsibilities as always, continue to support the cause of public welfare and people's livelihood, carry forward the excellent cultural inheritance of Huabao as a century-old national brand, and actively participate in the socialist modernization construction in Xizang!
