Consistent engagement for robust development | Huabao held 2023 Annual HR & Administration Department Business Line Work Summary Conference

In order to better review the annual work, enhance the exchange and sharing among the business lines in the HR & Administration Department, promote the implementation of strategies of Huabao Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd. (“Huabao” or “Company), and ensure the sustainability of the work for the HR & Administration Department to further support business development, Huabao HR & Administration Department organized and held the 2023 Annual HR & Administration Department Work Summary Conference (“Conference”) during December 20-21, 2023. Heads of HR & Administration Departments from Huabao Headquarters and Huabao’s subordinate enterprises, and related personnel attended the Conference.
Ms. CHEN Jing, Director of Huabao HR & Administration Department, attended the Conference and delivered a speech. Ms. CHEN first highlighted the significance of holding the Conference, and made requirements for the work of the HR & Administration Department, noting that the business lines of the Company’s HR& Administration Department should undertake the mission of organization and talent development & construction, provide the most suitable development platform for employees, and select the most matched professional talents for the Company.
During the Conference, relevant colleagues from Shanghai H&K Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd. (“H&K Flavor”) , Xiamen Amber Daily Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. (“Xiamen Amber”), PT Warlbor Flavour and Ingredients Indonesia, Huabao HR & Administration Department, Lhasa Huabao Food Co., Ltd. (“Lhasa Huabao”), and Yingtan Huabao Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd. (“Yingtan Huabao”) shared their views on entering the international market, brand building, overseas recruitment trend and experience, data improving performance, efficient collaboration and communication across organizations, and ESG facilitating business development. The participants communicated with and learned from one another, exploring innovative working modes to facilitate the Company’s business development.
Support international business development with breakthroughs and innovation
Ms. YAN Qing, Director of H&K Flavor HR & Administration Department, described the opportunities, challenges and difficulties facing H&K Flavor in entering the European market. While supporting business development, they had explored the experience of HR & administration business and finally found the path to the development process from 0 to 1.
Ms. HU Hong, Director of Xiamen Amber HR & Administration Department, introduced the economic and market conditions of African countries and regions, and shared with the participants the difficulties encountered in recruitment, work visa application and other aspects.
Mr. Julianto, Director of General Management Department, PT Warlbor Flavour and Ingredients Indonesia, shared with the participants the laws and regulations of Indonesia’s labor relations and policies, and the cases of labor dispute settlement, so that the participants could have an in-depth understanding of the terms and regulations of Indonesia’s labor law, and better understand and apply them in work and workplace life.
Sharing of best practice cases
Related colleagues of Huabao HR & Administration Department, Lhasa Huabao and Yingtan Huabao respectively made keynote sharing themed by “Tell Huabao’s Success Story: From Corporate Culture Construction to Brand Building”, “Diversification and Trend Analysis of Overseas Talent Recruitment Forms”, “Data Improving Performance”, “Assisting Business Development”, “Efficient Collaboration and Communication across Organizations”, and “ESG Work Practice Facilitating Business Development”. They combined with personal practical work experience during the sharing, the contents of which had a strong reference and practical significance.
Review and re-start
Heads of HR& Administration Departments from Huabao’s subordinate enterprises summarized and shared the important achievements and lessons gained in the aspects of work development, personnel management and organizational vitality construction in 2023, and proposed the Work Plan 2024 based on the current situation. They communicated with and learned from one another for common growth.
Brainstorm for innovation
After listening to the reports, Ms. CHEN first expressed affirmation and praise for everyone’s work in 2023, and said, “In 2023, the HR & Administration teams have paid a lot of hard work, so thank you for your efforts.”
In the final summary, Ms. CHEN once again asked the participants to adhere to the work ideas oriented by enabling and supporting business development, and implement the Company’s strategy of “enterprise conceptualization, management digitization, asset securitization, business globalization” and “dual-wheel drive”. Ms. CHEN summed up the overall work situation in 2023 with two sentences: we focus on the present and persist in our original aspiration; we aim high and work hard. Ms. CHEN stressed, “This Conference has specified the ideas and direction for improving the level of business lines in the HR & Administration Department and strengthening the construction to empower the Headquarters through summarizing and reflecting, sharing experience, promoting ideas and real-time online communication. In the work of 2024, it is necessary to think about the HR organization model in the new situation, highlight the importance of DEIB, and promote the development of ESG in the Company.” Finally, Ms. CHEN asked the team to seek improvement in stability as always, and strive for a compound, efficient and competitive team. All members of the team should focus on the improvement of the basic and systematic work of the HR & Administration Department to strengthen theoretical learning, improve business level, and make greater contributions to the development of the Company.
During the Conference, they participants also visited the Company’s Finance Valley R&D Center, where they played innovative team games, and improved team cohesion and teamwork. At the end of the Conference, excellent teams and individuals of the business lines in the HR & Administration Department were commended.
