Practicing ESG concept and enhancing production safety awareness | Huabao held the Annual Safety Work Conference

Recently, the Safety Management Committee of Huabao Shanghai Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as the “SMC”) organized and held the Annual Safety Work Conference (hereinafter referred to as the “Conference”). Dr. WANG Hongqiang, Vice President of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center, Ms. CHEN Jing, Director of Human Resource and Administration Department of Huabao Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huabao" or "Company") and Deputy Director of the SMC, as well as members of the safety management working group of the SMC and relevant personnel of various departments of the Company attended the Conference.

At the Conference, Dr. WANG emphasized the core position of food safety. He pointed out that food safety was related to the health of every consumer and was closely linked to the foundation of the enterprise’s survival and development. From a professional perspective, Dr. WANG deeply analyzed food safety challenges by combining current food regulations and practical cases in the food industry. He reminded all participants to remain vigilant about safety in their daily work and integrate food safety into every aspect of production and research & development (R&D). With a highly responsible attitude towards consumers, we should guard the safety line on food.

Ms. CHEN focused on Huabao’s journey of progress over the past year, highlighting the Company’s impressive achievements in R&D and production, while also attaching great importance to the solid safety guarantee behind these achievements. She noted that solid safety work was the cornerstone of the Company’s implementation of the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy. To maintain steady progress and sustainable development in a changing market environment, Huabao requires every employee to strictly adhere to safety regulations, internalizing safety awareness in their hearts and externalizing it in their actions. Looking forward to the new year, Ms. CHEN expressed her earnest hope that all employees would continue to make persistent efforts, continuously consolidate the safety foundation with higher standards, stricter requirements, and more practical measures, thus building a solid defense line for the Company’s long-term development.

As the front-line responsible person for safety production work, Mr. XU Jinbai, Deputy Leader of the SMC’s safety management working group, delivered a detailed and highly targeted annual safety work report. He systematically reviewed the implementation of the Company’s safety work over the past year, using vivid real-life cases to deeply analyze the safety hazards exposed during the work process. From potential equipment risks to accidents that may be caused by irregular personnel operation procedures, he presented them one by one, making participants deeply aware of the importance of safety production work.

At this Conference, the SMC specially invited an officer from the Yecheng Road Police Station to the site to provide a valuable fire safety training session for the participants. With rich practical experience, the officer explained various aspects, including the dangers of enterprise fires, how to identify and discover enterprise fire risks, common enterprise fire-fighting facilities and their usage methods, and how to properly handle fires once discovered. Combining local typical cases, he elaborated on prevention points and response techniques in a simple and easy-to-understand manner.

At the Conference, the 2024 “Excellent Laboratories on Safety Work” and “Advanced Individuals on Safety Work” were commended. Mr. WANG and Ms. CHEN respectively presented the awards for them.

This annual safety summary conference not only reviewed past safety work but also focused on the present and the future safety work. We will deeply integrate safety management into the ESG development strategy, thus safeguarding the Company’s high-quality and sustainable development.
