Huabao’s rural revitalization work was selected as “Excellent Practice Cases of Rural Revitalization of Public Companies” by CAPCO

Recently, Huabao Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd. (“Huabao” or the “Company”) was awarded the medal for “Excellent Practice Cases of Rural Revitalization of Public Companies” by the China Association for Public Companies (CAPCO), and presented a series of books entitled “Excellent Practice Cases of Rural Revitalization of Public Companies” and compiled by the CAPCO, in which Huabao’s rural revitalization work was included.

Huabao has actively responded to the call of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government to assist Tibet and relocated from Shanghai to Lhasa, Tibet in August 2016. Meanwhile, the Company has also actively participated in the Tibet targeted poverty alleviation project themed by “Giving play to the role of capital market and serving the national poverty alleviation strategy” of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and been listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on March 1, 2018.

Since its relocation in Tibet, Huabao has continued to inherit and carry forward the fine tradition of “caring about our nation and paying back society”. From “helping Tibet eliminate poverty” to “actively participating in the rural revitalization of Tibet” and from “contributing to education and agriculture” to “revitalization and border-area consolidation”, Huabao has been interpreting and fulfilling corporate social responsibilities with practical actions. Since 2017, the Company has actively responded to the call of relevant departments of the autonomous region to participate in targeted poverty alleviation, consolidate and expand poverty alleviation achievements and devote to rural revitalizations, and make efforts step by step. Our work has also been affirmed and praised by leaders at all levels.

If “targeted poverty alleviation” is compared to “a present of firewood in cold weather”, “rural revitalization” is “brilliance to present splendor”. In either case, Huabao people will always work well and earnestly under the leadership of the governments at all levels in Shanghai and Tibet Autonomous Region. We will share weal and woe with the country and the people, always place the corporate development under the major policy of national development, run the Company well and pay back the society.

The successful inclusion of Huabao’s rural revitalization work into the “Excellent Practice Cases of Rural Revitalization of Public Companies” is an affirmation of the CAPCO for Huabao’s contribution and efforts in the rural revitalization of Tibet, and also an encouragement for Huabao to explore and innovate under the new situation, strive for good achievements, better service and pay back the society. As a major company in China’s flavors and fragrances industry, Huabao will strive to fulfill the enterprise mission of “Green, Nutritious and Healthy” by gathering the wisdom and power of the whole Company. Huabao Yearbook from assisting “targeted poverty alleviation” to devoting to “rural revitalization”

In July 2017, Huabao donated school bags, Xinhua Dictionary and stationery to all primary school students in Qushui County.

In July 2018, Huabao contributed money to building a dairy farming base in Gupa Village, Nagqu Town, to help Tibetan herdsmen get rid of poverty and become better off.

In December 2019, Huabao contributed money to the working party of the General Office of the Party Committee of Tibet Autonomous Region in the village to boost the targeted poverty alleviation in Tibet.

In January 2020, Huabao contributed money to the Care and Support Fund of Deji Kangsa Community in Lhasa Economic Development Zone to consolidate and expand the achievements in poverty alleviation.

In December 2020, Huabao contributed money to Yula Village of Zhaba Township in Tibet for construction of beautiful countryside.

In December 2021, Huabao contributed money to the Village Division, Gupa Village, Nagqu Town, Nagqu City for the pairing assistance program of the Shanghai Office, People's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region, to boost rural revitalization.

In June 2022, Huabao assisted grassroots organizations in Yadong County of Rikaze to carry out and implement rural revitalization work in border areas.
