On August 1, 2023, ZHANG Shixia, Director of the Salt and Food Additives Supervision Office of the Food Production Safety Supervision and Management Department of the State Administration of State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), ZHANG Jianbo, Director of the Third Standard Office of China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA), ZHANG Jiyue, Associate Researcher of the Third Standard Office, and MU Min, Secretary-general of China Association of Fragrance Flavour and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI), visited Huabao Shanghai Industrial Park for investigation. Dr. WANG Hongqiang, Vice-president of Huabao Scientific Innovation Center, and YANG Cheng, Assistant President of Huabao Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd., warmly received the delegation.
Accompanied by leaderships of Huabao, the delegation first visited Huabao Exhibition Hall, listened to the introduction of the Company, and asked about the product related information with great interest. At the symposium, Dr. WANG, on behalf of Huabao, warmly welcomed the delegation to visit Huabao for guidance. Dr. WANG introduced the globalization, technological innovation, digital transformation, lean production and ESG work that Huabao has focused on in recent years to the delegation.

Ms. ZHANG Shixia noted in her speech that food safety directly concerns China’s development and the people’s wellbeing. Flavors and food ingredients are essential ingredients in food production, which can effectively improve product taste and consumer pleasure; therefore, not only in the food production link, but also the upstream flavors and ingredients production link, SAMR and enterprises must strictly control every link to ensure the real safety of food and the real satisfaction of consumers. As the supervision department of food safety production, SAMR should not only do a good job in supervision and management, but also have an in-depth understanding of the specific production situation of enterprises, thus to better promote the implementation of relevant regulations and standards, and work with enterprises to build a food safety guarantee system, so as to make consumers feel assured to buy and eat the food, and facilitate the healthy and sustainable development of food enterprises. Ms. Zhang said that she was delighted to see the investment and achievements made by Huabao in scientific and technological innovation and food safety, and its continuous high standards and strict requirements for each work.
