Government-enterprise Exchange| A Delegation of the Patent Office of CNIPA and the Market Supervision Administration of Tibet Visited Huabao for Investigation

On August 3, 2023, a delegation composed of WEI Baozhi, Head of the Review and Business Management Department of the Patent Office of China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), WANG Xiaoyun, Deputy Head of the Personnel and Education Department, NIE Dake, Deputy Director of the Market Supervision Administration of Tibet Autonomous Region and other leaderships visited Huabao Lhasa Headquarters to investigate the patent and intellectual property situation of the Huabao.
YAO Qiang, the On-site Head of Huabao resident in Tibet, warmly received the delegation and accompanied them to visit the Exhibition Hall and the Flavors Production Base at Huabao Lhasa Headquarters. During the visit, Mr. YAO introduced the Company’s development history and development plan in detail to the delegation, and exchanged views on the development prospects of the industry and promotion of Huabao brands with the delegation.
At the subsequent symposium, Mr. YAO reported the Company’s achievements and breakthroughs in patents and intellectual property rights in recent years to the delegation. Up to Dec. 31, 2022, Huabao owned 246 patents in total, more specifically, 150 patents for invention, 95 patents for utility models and 1 design patent. Moreover, the Company has more than 10,000 F&F formulas which are applied in commercial production.
After listening to the report, the delegation praised Huabao’s strong strength, its scale of development in recent years and its advanced scientific research team and technical capabilities. They further stated that as a listed enterprise in Tibet, Huabao should pay more attention to the creation, protection, and application of independent intellectual property rights in its future production, and continue to improve the comprehensive strength of the enterprise. The delegation hoped that Huabao and other local leading enterprises could help to promote the patent and intellectual property rights of Tibetan enterprises and the development of local economy. Relevant government departments will also actively help enterprises to relieve and solve difficulties, and promote the development of intellectual property work of enterprises. In a friendly and pleasant communication atmosphere, the delegation concluded the visit to Huabao Lhasa Headquarters.
Innovation is the primary driving force for development, and to protect intellectual property rights is to protect innovation. Huabao always adheres to independent innovation, pays attention to intellectual property management, and improves the intellectual property literacy and protection ability of R&D personnel through trainings, thus to facilitate the quality and efficiency of scientific and technological innovation. Huabao will continue to improve its intellectual property protection system, increase investment in R&D, improve core competitiveness, facilitate its high-quality development, and provide strong impetus for the healthy and rapid development of Tibet’s economy and of the flavors and food ingredients industry!
