Deepening rural revitalization practices in Xizang | Huabao held donation ceremony for the New Era Civilization Practice Station Project in Zangxiong Village

In November 2023, amidst the in-depth development of the second batch of thematic education on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Huabao Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Huabao” or the “Company”) actively fulfilled its social responsibilities by generously donating RMB 200,000 to Zangxiong Village in Tanggu Township, Linzhou County, Lhasa for the construction of a New Era Civilization Practice Station and Communist Party of China (CPC) Building Activity Room (hereinafter referred to as the “Practice Station and CPC Building Activity Room” ). Due to Xizang’s winter climate, the construction was postponed to 2024. Now, the Practice Station and Party Building Activity Room have been successfully completed and put into use, providing local villagers with a multi-functional venue for study, exchange, and activities.

On November 13, 2024, the donation ceremony for the New Era Civilization Practice Station Project in Zangxiong Village, Tanggu Township, Linzhou County, Lhasa (hereinafter referred to as the “Ceremony”), was held at Huabao’s headquarters in Lhasa. Attendees at the Ceremony included representatives from the relevant departments of Xizang Office of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (hereinafter referred to as the “CSRC Xizang Office”), namely the pairing and co-construction unit of the Zangxiong Village New Era Civilization Practice Station, Ms. HOU Xiaoqin, Vice President and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Huabao, Mr. YANG Cheng, Assistant President of Huabao and General Manager of Lhasa Huabao and Mr. Nima, Village Secretary of Zangxiong Village, Tanggu Township, Linzhou County, Lhasa.

During the Ceremony, Ms. HOU emphasized that as a listed company in Xizang, Huabao has the bounden duty to give back to society in Xizang and contribute to rural revitalization; this donation was Huabao’s modest contribution to the construction of the New Era Civilization Practice Station in Zangxiong Village, aiming to promote fruitful achievements in CPC building studies and the second batch of thematic education on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in Zangxiong Village, fully leverage the stronghold role of village-level organizations, and ensure that the voice of the CPC could reach every villager’s heart more loudly.

Mr. Nima expressed sincere gratitude to Huabao and the CSRC Xizang Office. He said that this donation not only solved the venue issue for the New Era Civilization Practice Station in Zangxiong Village, but also greatly inspired the entire village spiritually. He promised to make good use of the venue to ensure that the learning and education on the CPC could penetrate every household and maximize its value. Subsequently, Mr. Nima presented Huabao with a meticulously prepared banner, featuring the glowing words “Donation Warms Our People, Sincerity Forever Remains in Zangxiong”, symbolizing the profound friendship between the two parties on the path of love transmission.

The representative from the relevant department of CSRC Xizang Office highly praised Huabao’s benevolent act. He pointed out that as a socially responsible enterprise, Huabao not only achieved remarkable success in economic development, but also set a good example in social responsibility; Huabao’s donation brought tangible benefits to Zangxiong Village; It was believed that with the help of companies like Huabao, Zangxiong Village would have a brighter future; and we would jointly contribute more to Xizang’s prosperity and development.

Since Huabao settled in Xizang in 2016, it has been following the guidance of the CPC and the People’s Republic of China, and consciously connecting its own development with the development of Xizang. Over the past 8 years, the Company has lived up to its responsibilities and contributed nearly RMB 700 million in taxes to the local area. In promoting borderland construction, ethnic integration and improvement of people’s livelihood, Huabao actively performs social responsibilities and demonstrates its mission.
